FCP Fuel Cell Powertrain GmbH (FCP) takes a leading role in a future oriented and environmentally friendly energy storage and supply for mobile and stationary applications. The company is a joint venture between PTT Power Train Technology GmbH and a Chinese capital investor (founded in 2017).
FCP currently focuses its development on a 30 kW Fuel Cell Module for mobile applications. Two modules are integrated into the RED60 Fuel Cell System, which houses most BOP components and, thus, enables easy vehicle integration and improved maintenance. Multiple system can be connected to reach higher power requirements. With this approach it is possible to scale to a wide power range addressing a huge variety of applications.
FCP works closely with the Technical University (TU) Chemnitz. The TU Chemnitz has with the professorship for alternative powertrains at the institute for automotive research in depth experience and know how regarding electro mobility and fuel cells.
Beside the fast-growing markets in Asia, also the European markets are in the focus of FCP. It is planned to establish and develop the new Chemnitz facility and the Chemnitz region as a center of competence for the new fuel cell and powertrain technology.
