Hydrogen propulsion systems already today offer emission free solutions for public transportation based on road and rail. Fuel cells and hydrogen are suitable to build all electric systems with reduced infrastructure efforts and perform superior over competing approaches in a significant number of scenarios. European and Asian cities are actively developing hydrogen bus fleets, and rail operators explore options to cut emissions of their non-electrified tracks. The topic table on “hydrogen solutions for public road and rail transportation“ will discuss technologies, business cases and strategies for mass application.
